Jon Ed Brown joins Rubinstein & Pitts with more than 30 years of experience representing Oklahomans in civil litigation, personal injury, medical malpractice, and insurance bad faith disputes.
Jon Ed earned his B.S. from the University of Oklahoma in 1990 and his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 1994. He began his career at Crowe & Dunlevy, focusing on franchise law, corporate contracts, and business litigation. In 1997, he moved to Idabel to concentrate on trial work representing individuals harmed by negligence or mistreated by insurance companies. Over the years, Jon Ed has tried numerous cases to jury verdict and secured significant recoveries, and settlements, for his clients. In 2014, he opened his own practice in Hugo, where he continued his trial work until joining the firm.
Jon Ed is admitted to practice in all Oklahoma state courts, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Northern Districts of Oklahoma, the Western District of Arkansas, the Northern District of Texas, and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
His commitment to the profession and his community runs deep. He served on the Oklahoma Bar Association’s Board of Governors from 2001 to 2004 and has held numerous committee and section positions with the OBA over the years. He is a proud member of the Oklahoma Association for Justice, having previously served on its Board. Jon Ed also served as Municipal Judge for the City of Idabel from 2002 to 2010 and as a City Councilman and Mayor of Fort Towson in 2021.
A proud member of the Chickasaw Nation, Jon Ed has been married to his wife Cynthia for 25 years. They have four adult children and four grandchildren, all of them in the Edmond area. Jon Ed is excited to join family in Edmond and looks forward to serving the people of this community.
